At AltaMed, we believe that your ZIP code should not be the primary determinant of your health. As we rebuild, we need to reinforce the strengths of our communities, giving all families access to affordable care with quality physicians and facilities.

Unfortunately, many of our patients still encounter obstacles to receiving quality care, including:

Lack of transportation or physical means to access health and human services

POVERTY

Poverty and lack of adequate insurance coverage

ACCESS

Healthcare education, literacy, and lack of internet access

CULTURAL COMPETENCE

Lack of culturally competent care

ENCOURAGING PATIENTS

SUPPORTING FUTURE NURSES

The world needs nurses now more than ever. Providing a transformational education to future nurses via the AltaMed Nursing School Collaborative, in partnership with the University of La Verne and the Annenberg School of Nursing, is creating ladders of opportunity for future nurses
